A joyous element of our worship is the beautiful voices in our choir, under the direction of Celeste Booker, with Kelly Wallis as organist.  Not only is music an important part of regular worship, our choir offers concerts by various professional artists and ensembles for the church and the greater community.

St. Mary’s Music Ministries

In keeping with St. Mary’s Mission, Vision and Values we strive to use our musical gifts and talents to magnify God in our worship. Through the use of a variety of musical styles we try to compliment the richness of our liturgy in the Episcopal Church.

Our primary goal is to enhance the liturgy of our worship services through providing leadership in singing hymns and service music.  From that point we try to express with music which words alone cannot.

New members are ALWAYS welcome to our ranks and we hope that you will join us in our music-making from the choir or from the pew.

There are other ways you can help St. Mary’s Music Ministries:

  • Donate to our Music Ministry Fund in honor/thanksgiving/memory of someone or special occasion.
  • Sing joyfully and soulfully from your pew.
  • Include us in your prayers.

St. Mary’s Concert Series

St. Mary’s Concert Series began in 2004 as a way to bring great music of all kinds to our Parish and the surrounding community.

Genres range from vocal & instrumental concerts to lecture-type events. All concerts are free and especially welcoming to families. Typically, our events are on Friday evenings at 7:00, with a 15 min. Intermission with refreshments. Help is always needed on these occasions to help with refreshments and greeting our guests.

A Prayer for Church Musicians and Artists

O God, whom saints and angels delight to worship in heaven;
Be ever present with your servants who seek through art and music
to perfect the praises offered by your people on earth; and
grant to them even now glimpses of your beauty,
and make them worthy at length to behold it unveiled forevermore;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.
