Christian Formation

Located in the Holy Family Center (HFC) Room 107. The nursery is open to children five years and younger. Available from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Note that children are always welcome in church during worship services.

Explore, craft, play and learn about God's family. Ages three and up.

Holy Family Center (HFC) Room 108: During the 10:30 AM service, children 3rd Grade and younger are invited to leave the church before the Gospel to study Scripture in age-appropriate lessons and activities.

The 4th Sunday of each month features a children’s sermon.

In addition, children are welcome at all church events such as parish breakfasts and potlucks, Game Nights, Family Table events and similar activities.

Class gathers at 9:00 a.m. for 15 minutes of social time each Sunday, followed by discussions from 9:15-10:15 a.m. in Room 203 of the Holy Family Center (HFC). Zoom participation available. Class is each Wednesday from 6:00 -7:00 p.m. Participation is by Zoom only. All men are welcome. The group and other men also have periodic evenings out for dinner and social time. There are two classes: Mondays 8:30 a.m. and Wednesdays 6:00 p.m. Participation for both classes are by Zoom only. Faith with a Twist is a book co-written by an Episcopal priest and published by Forward Day by Day that offers a short meditation followed by meditative stretching. Seated stretching is also available. You are welcome to participate in one or both weekly classes. Gatherings are held once a month on the second Sunday of each month in Room 203 of the Holy Family Center. We share a potluck lunch after the 10:30 a.m. service followed by a Christian formation study and conclude at approximately 1:30 p.m. All women of St. Mary’s are welcome to join us any month. Any changes in scheduled meeting dates will be sent via email when conflicts occur with holidays such as Easter and Mother’s Day. Growing Your Prayer Life is a Lectio Divina prayer group that meets after the 10:30 am service twice a month on the first and third Sundays of the month. We approach the text of the Bible prayerfully using imagination while seeking a conversation with God. Come and interact with the Bible devotionally, relationally and conversationally.
